Daniel’s Review (at age will-be-4-tomorrow)
Pookie is a dog (ha ha ha ha). No, actually Pookie is a pig. A little pig. And his mummy is a mummy pig (ha ha ha), and his daddy is a daddy pig (heh hehehe). My favourite Pookie story is the birthday one because he gets a birthday froggie. My birthday is tomorrow and I would like to get dinosaur stamps for a present. And Kor Kor (that’s Timothy) is going to give me a car.
Nathalie’s Review (at age 8)
All of these books are very funny but I like What’s Wrong, Little Pookie the most. It starts with Little Pookie looking sad and his mother is asking him all sorts of questions like “Do you need a cold drink?” and “Did you fall and get hurt?” His answers to all of them are “NO”. Then she starts asking him silly questions like, “Did a very large hippo try to borrow your shoes?” and “Did tiny green elephants with wings oh-so-blue fly off with your cookies and leave none for you?” And those silly questions make him forget why he was sad in the first place.
